Nigerians involved in the Ponzi Scheme, Mavrodi Mondial Moneybox (MMM) have been thrown into confusion as the alleged Ponzi scheme has frozen accounts of its participants in Nigeria for one month. This will last from December 12 to January 12. During that period, none of the participants who are due to get help will be able to. They will be unable to get their 'Mavro' ie withdraw funds deposited with the mandatory 30% interest.
People have taken to social media to talk about this development, some laughing at partticipants
According to the operators of the scheme in a message sent to all subscribers, the measure was put in place due to the heavy workload being experienced by the system in the New Year.
This comes after the MMM founder reportedly wrote an open letter to the FG. It may be too early for doubters to say 'I told you so' but it definitely should serve as a caution to new participants
